Just wanted to say the first day at the new gig is under the belt. Looks like it should be a good place to be. If for no other reason than the new work rig is pretty sharp.

One oddity: turns out a woman I went to grad school with is now in the same office of the company. Things didn't part well, since she went from friend to avoiding me under the belief that, despite my relationship with the woman who is now my wife, I harbored a secret and obsessive crush on her (actually she believed a LOT of guys had a crush on her). Some schadenfreude: she used to be a dancer and talked endlessly about how guys always stared at her body, and has put on maybe 15-20 pounds. Amusingly, it doesn't look bad on her. At least she has tits now.
